Welcome to the website of John Connor, freelance modern web designer. I am based in Birmingham, United Kingdom, and skilled in website design, and website maintenance.

In 2005 I obtained a BSc (Hons) in Information Technology and Computing from the Open University.

During my studies I worked on a voluntary basis at a youth centre as an IT officer. In 2000 I was asked by

the manager to develop an informative and illustrative website for the centre.

With no formal training or qualifications in web design I gradually taught myself the basics and progressively advanced to higher standards. Currently I am studying to be a ‘Certified Internet Web Master’.

I believe the essence of a great website is to keep the audience interested, by designing it to be visually appealing and simple to navigate for individuals, businesses and non-profit organisations.
